Barely days after he was rejected by the Labour Party, Senator Ike Ekweremadu, former Deputy Senate President, is alleged to have met another brick wall at the national secretariat of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as he shops for a platform to actualise his governorship ambition in Enugu State.

The ex-PDP chieftain and aspirant for governor in Enugu State stormed the party’s national secretariat in the company of Senator Hope Uzodimma, apparently to intensify his romance with the party.

He is believed to be seeking the approval of the party’s national chairman, Abdullahi Adamu, to contest for governor on the platform of the APC, having failed to get through obstacles set against his entry in his state of Enugu

On arrival, he was said to have been ushered into the office of the national chairman where the three men had a closed door session.

The visitors soon emerged with Ekweremadu wearing a long face.

He quickly left the premises without his escort governor, suggesting that there was no progress in the talk.

Asked about the mission of his visitors, the APC national chairman told reporters that they will know at the appropriate time.

The four-term senator was also said to have failed to get the endorsement of the Labour Party, which failed to accept the condition set by the senator.
