The National Leader of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Seriake Dickson, on Thursday met with the party’s presidential candidate, Peter Obi, and his running mate, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, in Abuja.

Dickson, a former governor of Bayelsa State, disclosed the meeting in a post on his verified X handle, describing it as part of ongoing consultations on issues concerning the party and the country.

According to him, the meeting was aimed at further deliberating on and finalising key decisions ahead of the unveiling of the NDC’s Campaign Council for the 2027 general elections.

He said the meeting, which was also attended by the party’s National Chairman and other leaders, was the second such engagement among the stakeholders within two days.

Dickson urged party stakeholders, aspirants and members to unite, close ranks and work collectively towards ensuring the success of NDC candidates across all levels in the 2027 elections.

“Today, I met with our party’s presidential candidate, Mr Peter Obi, and the running mate, Dr Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, alongside the National Chairman and other party leaders.

“We met two days ago, and we met again today to further deliberate and finalise decisions, particularly as we prepare for the unveiling of our party’s Campaign Council ahead of the 2027 general elections,” he said.
