The All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council (APC PCC) has called on the Department of State Services DSS to invite the General Overseer of Dunamis Church, Paul Enenche, politicians Dele Momodu.and Dino Melaye, for questioning over ‘’inciting comments' made about last Saturday's election.

At a press conference held on Monday, February 27, the Special Adviser on Media and Strategic Communications for APC PCC, Dele Alake, said

“We note with utmost concern those inciting comments and call to violence by some spokespersons for the opposition, especially those from the Peoples Democratic Party. We are particularly concerned and call on the State Security Services and the Nigeria Police Force to immediately restrain persons such as Dino Melaye, Dele Momodu and a certain Pastor Paul Enenche of Dunamis Church from their clear call to violence.

How can a supposed man of God be issuing threat on the pulpit because the person he and his brother endorsed is not winning? How can you desecrate the sanctity of the pulpit on the altar of partisanship? That is an abomination.

Melaye’s tweet threatening violence, Momodu going on the TV to announce a purported winner and Enenche’s hate speech from the pulpit violate every law of the land. They should not go scot-free. The Christians community in this nation should even rise up to call him to order before the invitation by security agencies. We encourage the DSS to do their work by apprehending and restraining these people calling for violence to reduce the tension.”

Former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, who also spoke at the press conference, slammed Pastor Enenche for the comments he made on the altar about the elections, describing him as a “disgrace” to the Pentecostal mission society.

“I was invited by the DSS for a tweet I made. We are all aware of that. Therefore I see Eneche’s outburst as an insult to so many pastors, particularly Pentecostals like myself. That is because when this violence they are calling for begins, they will run away and leave hapless Nigerians to face it.

What the opposition is doing is trying to heat up the polity and intimidate our supporters.”

While speaking in his church on Sunday, February 26, Enenche warned that every attempt at scuttling the will of the people or frustrating the zeal of the youth will produce unimaginable consequences.

‘’Dear friends, we have witnessed an unusual stressful and challenging elections and vote casting process under very difficult conditions in most cases. Yesterday some people’s voting didn’t start till around 1pm, all manner of straneaous condition but I saw patriotism, enthusiasm and determination of our Nation’s citizens for a change of story like never before – record breaking turn out crowds with multitudes of first time voters.

Unfortunately, the human demons in our country and their lunatic agents in various parts of this country did not allow for a peaceful and just process in those places. Video recordings of their misdeeds were flying from Lagos, Rivers, Kogi, Anambra, Abuja etc. With things at the helm of affairs at certain unit.

In certain places, there was the report of more presidential ballot papers, but there were ballot papers for the senatorial and house of reps. There were other places where a particular party’s logo was said not to be on the ballot papers at all. Also there were cases of thugs snatching ballot papers, under age voting of young children.

Despite all of this abnormalities cited, the people of Nigeria overwhelmingly expressed their choice of leadership through their votes.

INEC is strongly advised to do the right thing and do it on time. Issues of inability to upload results on server; failure of results upload from BVAs machines, and delay in the arrival of results, especially from the Northern parts of the country are raising a lot of suspicion.

Kindly ensure that this is not a game as usual. Every attempt at scuttling the will of the people or fustrating the zeal of the youth will produce only unimaginable consequences. People have voted, and they are watching their votes. People already have the results of their polling units, etc; as confirmed at the end of voting exercise.

Do the right thing and go down in history in honour and dignity, or do the wrong thing and go down in shame, ignominy and infamy forever. God bless Nigeria.”he said
