Monday 25th OCT.2021:The Delta State Police Command has arrested a Female Suspects In Possession of ten wraps of substances suspected to be cocaine after a raid by operatives in black spots at Abraka axis in Asaba.
The Command raider operatives carried out on 21st September 2021, was in compliance with the directive of the Commissioner of police Delta state, CP Ari Muhammed Ali, FCIA, PSC+.
During the raid, four (4) suspects namely Blessing Oghule 'f', Nweke Abudi 'm', Ebuka Paul 'm', and Sunday Inuse 'm' were arrested and the Police also recovered One (1) English berreta pistol with five (5) live 9mm ammunition, five (5) suspected stolen phones, one hand bag containing weeds suspected to be Indian hemp, one (1) nylon bag containing substances suspected to be ice.
In a similar occurrence,the Dragon Patrol team 29, while on stop and search duty along Warri-Sapele road by Mercy City Effurun, On 21/10/21,arrested one Patrick Anthony 'm' aged 36yrs with sixty (60) rounds of 7.62mm (ak47) live ammunition concealed inside a pair of canvas shoes.
The suspect was arrested after a Toyota picnic space bus with reg no LSD 324 DO was intercepted while travelling from Warri to Sapele.
In another event, a patrol team of the Ufuoma division,led by the Divisional Police Officer, arrested a Suspected Cultist Happy Ighorowhodje 'm' aged 32yrs of Aiye cult group after he had been injured with a machete during a cult clash between Aiye and Aro baggar cult group in Ufuoma Community.
He was arrested with one locally made revolver pistol with five rounds of live ammunition recovered from him. He was taken to general hospital Ughelli where he was treated and discharged. The suspect and exhibit are in custody while manhunt for fleeing suspects is ongoing.
The operatives of the Command’s Anti-cult unit (SACU) acting on a tip off also stormed Obiaruku in Ukwuani LGA and raided a suspected cultists hideout.
During the raid, seven (7) suspects were arrested and one (1) locally made short gun, one battle axe, cutlass, knife and charms were recovered from them. Suspects and exhibits are in custody while investigation is ongoing.
