Covid-19: Nigeria records 74 new cases in 8 states, FCT

MONDAY- 4th October, 2021: The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) have reported 74 new cases of Covid-19 infections in seven states including the Federal Capital Territory (FCT, Abuja).

This report was released by the NCDC on their official Facebook page on Monday.

According to the NCDC, the 74 new cases were reported in the FCT and eight other states in Nigeria

The health agency also reported that no new death cases is related to Covid-19.

According to the new report, Lagos has the highest number of new infections with 36 cases, Edo – 11, FCT – 9, AkwaIbom – 6, Sokoto – 6, Delta – 3 while Benue, Oyo and Rivers reported a single case from each state.

With the 74 new cases added, this brought the number of confirmed Covid-19 cases to 206,138.

The NCDC new report also that with no death related cases, the number of death related to Covid-19 remains 2,723.

So far, the NCDC reports have it that 194,097 infected persons have fully recovered, and have been discharged in Nigeria

The NCDC report added that national response activities are continually monitored that the various Level 2 multi-sectional national Emergency Operation Centers.
