The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has reduced the Monetary Policy Rate (MPR) to 23 per cent.

CBN Governor, Olayemi Cardoso, announced the decision on Tuesday after the Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) concluded its 307th meeting in Abuja.

The new rate represents a reduction from the previous benchmark of 26.5 per cent.
