Imo Labour Party agent beaten, tossed out of collation centre

A Labour Party, LP, agent in Imo State, Calistus Ihejiagwa, Sunday morning, beaten and then thrown out of the Imo State Collation Centre in Owerri.

He had raised an objection to the results collated from the local government areas on the grounds that results brought before the state collation centre were at variance with what was on the Result Viewing Portal, IREV.

Ihejiagwa kept saying he had a petition to present to that effect, with the Returning Officer, Prof Abayomi Fashina, saying it was not in his purview to receive petitions.

As the issue degenerated, other parties’ agents bundled him out, while some hit him.
