Natasha Akpoti-Uduagan of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has been affirmed as the winner of the Kogi Central Senatorial election held in February by a court of appeal.

An appeal filed by Sen. Abubakar Ohere of the All Progressives Congress (APC) was struck out by a three-member panel of the appeal court.

The court which agreed with the submission of Akpoti's counsel, Mr Joshua Usman (SAN) for being meritorious, also awarded the sum of N500,000 against Ohere.
