Many football enthusiasts have been left with mysterious puzzles to solve as the UEFA Club Financial Control Body (CFCB) published the Financial Fair Play (FFP) overview for the 2021/2022 season financial year, which has indicted eight football clubs, excluding FC Barcelona despite their transfer records for the past two years.

The affected clubs include PSG (fined €65million), AS Roma (€35million), Inter Milan (€26million), Juventus (€23million), AC Milan (€15million), Besiktas (€4million), AS Monaco (€2million) and Marseille (€2million).

However, despite indicting the listed club, the CFCB stated that it considered the COVID-19 emergency measures, which enabled some clubs to avoid indictment, following their historical financial records.

Clubs like FC Barcelona, Chelsea, Dortmund, Lazio, Leicester City, Lyon, Manchester City, Napoli, Rangers, Real Betis, Sevilla, West Ham United and Wolfsburg have been able to escape narrowly.

Consequently, the UEFA has insisted that it is still monitoring the narrowly escaped clubs ahead of the eradication of the COVID-19 emergency measures in 2023.
