Bashir I Bashir, the Labour Party Gubernatorial candidate on Monday night unveiled his running mate for the forthcoming governorship election.

Bashir who has recuperated from a heart surgery said in a terse statement that was made available to the CEOAFRICA In Kano that “I have the honour of announcing my running mate Awwal Abdullahi (PhD).”

Bashir revealed that his running mate is an “An astute businessman, a former House of Representatives candidate, currently undergoing his PhD in ABU Zaria.”

He said “At 37, Awwal is poised to bridge the generational gap between those of us in our early 50s and the very young in their teens.”

He described the joint ticket as “An all-inclusive resort to bring back the great image of our dear state. This is for kano, this is for Nigeria.”
