UPDATE: Abductors of Uni-Abuja professors, others demand N300 million

THURSDAY- 4th November, 2021: The kidnappers of two professors and other members of staff of the University of Abuja, have demanded N300 million from families of victims.

Recall that gunmen invaded the staff quarters for the institution on Tuesday morning and whisked away the victims.

According to the school authority, those abducted during the unfortunate attack are Professor Obansa and his son; Professor Oboscolo, his son and daughters, as well as Sambo Mohammed and Dr Tobins.

A day after the incident, the assailants contacted families of the victims and are now demanding N50 million from each abductee.

Speaking on Thursday morning, the Public Relations Officer of the institution, Habib Yakoob confirmed that the gunmen have contacted the family of the victims.

He said, “they have contacted the family of the victims and we learnt that they are demanding for N300 million for all of them”.
