Delta CP warns Officers against corrupt practices, fires two erring officers (Photos)

Tuesday 12th 2021: Delta State Commissioner of Police CP Ari Muhammed Ali FCIA, Psc+ has warned officers and men of the Command to desist from all forms of corruption and incivility to members of the public.

The CP gave the call  at an enlarged meeting with Area commanders, DPO’S, Tactical commanders and other officers in the Command on 8th October 2021 where he reiterated the fact that the command under his watch will not tolerate such, adding that machineries have been put in place to check the activities of men posted.

He warned that erring officers will be dealt with accordingly, citing the two officers dismissed recently as examples to all.

The Police boss also ordered that the on-going stop and search should be intensified, while constant raiding of black spot/criminal hideout should be sustained.

Commending the efforts of  men of Ovwian Aladja Division who on  11/10/2021 raided criminal hideout/black spots in Ujvwu Community and arrested two suspects, Godspower Alfred age 23yrs and  Destiny Akwara 34yrs and retrieved a locally made cut to size gun and some wraps of weed,CP Ari maintained that Investigation is ongoing to arrest other Suspects who fled at the sight of the Police Officers.

In a related event, a  patrol team attached to Ovwian Aladja Division while on stop and search duty 10/10/2021 arrested one Pigi Kelvin ‘m’  42yrs .The operatives upon searching the passengers recovered one  locally made single barrel gun concealed in a bag of Garri the suspect was travelling with.
