MONDAY: 13th September, 2021: Mr Seun Fakorede, the immediate past Commissioner for Youth and Sports in Oyo State, has expressed joy at the return of the Shooting Stars Sports Club to the Nigerian Professional Football League.

Fakorede, who was the youngest among the commissioners then, said in a statement on Monday that the 3SC victory over Ekiti United which made their return to the elite league was worth celebrating.

Hailing the team and the coaching crew for the feat, he urged them to continue to work harder to make the team one of the best in Africa which 3SC used to be.

He said, “3SC has been playing in the second tier of the Nigeria football league popularly known as the Nigerian National League 2 since 2017.

“But the great intervention of the Seyi Makinde-led administration in Oyo State in sports activities has, however, resuscitated the fading glory of 3SC.

“This is a great moment to be a supporter of the Oluyole Warriors, indeed, they have proved to be a great team and their eventual success is a great accolade to for the present administration in Oyo state.”
