FCAH&PT holds 2-day training on Pig Farming, induct participants into school of short-term training

Thursday- 1st July, 2021: The Federal College of Animal Health and Production Technology, (FCAH&PT), Moor Plantation, Ibadan, Nigeria, on Wednesday ended a 2-day intensive training on Pig farming.

The training which started on Tuesday 29th to Wednesday 30th June, 2021, had participants within and outside Nigeria.

The training with the theme “Hands on Profitable Pig Business in today’s World” was organised by the school of short term training of the Federal College of Animal Health and Production Technology.

The participant were exposed to so many areas as regards to Pig farming, which include selection of breeding stock, artificial insemination in Pig farming, bio-security for profitable Pig farming, value addiction, marketing and market strategy, etc.

The participants were also taken on excursion to Bora field mill, where they were enlightened on the best feeds for the Pigs.
