Ighalo visits Kogi Governor, Showers encomium on him

Tuesday 22nd June 2021: Super Eagle striker, Odion Ighalo, on Monday visited Gov. Yahaya Bello of Kogi State at his residence in Abuja.

The former Manchester United player joined the list of past and present footballers who paid a courtesy visit to the governor, coming a few days after former Super Eagles captain, Mikel Obi and Leicester City striker, Kelechi Iheanacho met with the governor.

In his remarks, Ighalo reportedly described the governor as a ‘bridge builder’, adding that his style of leadership is a source of hope for youths in Nigeria.

He urged other state governors to emulate the leadership qualities of Gov. Yahaya Bello.

Ighalo who is currently playing for a Saudi football club, Al-Shabab, shower praises on the governor and urged him to keep up the good work in building the nation.

He added that the governor is a source of inspiration for Nigerians as he stood tall among other governors in the country.
