Tuesday 18 May 2021: The Presiding Bishop of Living Faith Church Worldwide, Bishop David Oyedepo, has restated his resolve and commitment to one Nigeria, saying he would be the last person to leave Nigeria even if the nation is engulfed in crisis.

Speaking during one of his sermons in Canaan land, Oyedepo said "if there is crisis in this nation, I will be the last to leave here".

He, however admitted that things are wrong at present in Nigeria, but said he would be the last to leave if the development degenerate into serious crisis.

Oyedepo urged Nigerians to adopt the fear of God in their way of living,

In his words, "don't rob anybody, don't cheat on anyone, don't outsmart your business partner, don't swear falsely, and don’t take bribe."

He then concluded that favour is the companion of all that fear God and favour shall be our companion from now. He expatiates on the need for peace, unity, and harmony in the country.

CEOAFRICA reports that Oyedepo's view concerning the state of things in Nigeria is quite different from that of Pastor Paul Adefarasin of the House on the Rock church, who recently told his members to look for an escape route to move out of Nigeria. Adefarasin was quoted to have said that the escape route is important because the crises rocking the country could degenerate into a civil war.
