New militant group operating in the oil-rich Niger Delta of Southern Nigeria, Niger Delta Avengers has launched a new website address following a shutdown of its previous website.

The new website, www.nigerdeltaavengers.org is a mirror of the old one, www.nigerdeltaavengers.com which is no longer available.

The group announced on its Twitter handle a few minutes ago Sunday, June 5, 2016 saying it’s website was never shut down as reported by some news outlets, but undergoing maintenance.

IT specialists say that the militant group was using a free hosting service provided by Blogspot, a Google company and it is most likely that Google took down the website following complaints from official of the Buhari government.

A visit to the old website address will show you an error message, only possible if your website was hosted by Blogspot.
