In 1967, abortion was legalised in the United kingdom and the door was opened to the killing of the innocent unborn children, who were deemed "imperfect", "unplanned" "unwanted.
So, in the last 50 years, as doctors and medical scientists developed new ways of healing the sick, they also developed new ways of killing the unborn.
Today, more than eight million babies have been aborted in the Uk and millions of women have been hurt.
These women have been ruined and traumatised by the empty promises of abortion. Not even Adolf Hitler's genocide killed that many.
Such is the deep scar on British society and souls today.
This month (May), Bishop Emmanuel Badejo of Oyo Catholic Diocese, will be a special guest and speaker in a series of special Pro -life events in the United Kingdom.
The first is the 'March for Life in Birmingham', which is a national yearly pro-life rally that is a celebration of the pro-life message that every human life is precious and worthy of protection from the moment of conception to natural death.
This message is indeed a timely one in a developed country like the UK that has, for almost half a century, espoused the idea of legal abortion.
The next series of pro-life events will be hosted by the Society for the Protection of the Unborn Children (SPUC), a renowned British pro-Life Conference, which also participated at the Ibadan pro Life and Family conference that took place in April, 2015.
They are known for vigorously campaigning against abortion in the UK.
Bishop Badejo's involvement with these events will indeed be a privilege for those who will hear him as he will be a powerful voice and source of encouragement to the men, women and youths of England, who have rightly chosen to witness to the sanctity and dignity of every human life at every phase, stage and age of development.
His participation will greatly enhance the collaboration of such organisation with the Nigerian pro-life movement in future.
The interaction is being coordinated by Obianuju Ekeocha, founder of Culture of Life, Africa an international pro-life organisation.
