President Of he United States Of America (USA), Barack Obama, has condemned the bomb blasts that ht the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, on Friday night.

His condemnation was contained in a statement issued by the spokesman of the American Embassy in Abuja, Sean McIntosh.

The statement read in part:  “We extend our deepest condolences to the families and loved ones of those killed and injured.

“These tragic events are stark reminders that violent extremists will stop at nothing to inflict horrific and indiscriminate harm upon innocent lives.

“Through our security and counter-terrorism assistance, our unparalleled commitment aims to help Nigeria achieve this goal.”

The bomb blasts according the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) resulted in the death of about 18 persons among many injured.
