The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has announced the commencement of its 2026 recruitment exercise, with applications set to open on July 3 for qualified Nigerians seeking positions in its officer, marshal inspectorate and road marshal assistant cadres.

In a notice dated June 24 and signed by the Deputy Corps Marshal and Head of Administration and Human Resources, Pauline Olaye, on behalf of the Corps Marshal, the agency said applications would be received online for a period of four weeks through its recruitment portal.

The FRSC emphasized that the recruitment process is completely free.

“Application is free and attracts no cost,” the notice stated.

Interested candidates are required to submit their applications through the official recruitment portal at FRSC Recruitment Portal https://recruitment.frsc.gov.ng. Shortlisted applicants will be expected to present printed copies of their application forms during the screening exercise.

“Applications must be submitted online within four (4) weeks with effect from Friday, 3rd July, 2026,” the corps said.

The recruitment exercise is divided into three categories.

Under the Officer Cadre, vacancies exist for Superintendent Route Commanders, Route Commanders/Deputy Route Commanders and Assistant Route Commanders. Eligible candidates include medical doctors, pharmacists, nurses, medical laboratory scientists, lawyers, engineers, and graduates with B.Sc., BA or HND qualifications. Applicants in this category must generally be between 18 and 35 years old.

For the Marshal Inspectorate Cadre, candidates with NCE, ND/OND, Registered Nurse/Registered Midwife and Community Health Extension Worker qualifications are eligible to apply. Applicants must be between 18 and 30 years old.

The Road Marshal Assistant Cadre is open to candidates with at least three credits in SSCE, including English Language and Mathematics. The category also accommodates artisans and drivers.

According to the FRSC, artisans such as computer operators, mechanics, electricians, plumbers, tailors, motorcycle riders and drivers may apply, provided they possess the relevant trade qualifications and licences.

Applicants seeking driver or rider positions must hold the appropriate class of valid driver's licence, while articulated vehicle and tow-truck drivers must be between 26 and 40 years old.

The corps said applicants must be Nigerians by birth, medically fit, computer literate and single. Candidates are also expected to possess the required educational qualifications and professional licences where necessary.

Male applicants must have a minimum height of 1.65 metres, while female applicants must be at least 1.58 metres tall.

The FRSC urged candidates to declare all qualifications during the recruitment process, warning that undeclared certificates would not be recognised for future career advancement within the corps.

Candidates must also not have tattoos on any part of their bodies and are required to use personal email addresses and phone numbers when submitting applications.
