The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced the commencement of printing for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) Original Result Slips.

The announcement was made on Wednesday by JAMB's spokesperson, Fabian Benjamin, who stated that candidates would be able to access and print their result slips within two hours of the notice.

According to JAMB, the Original Result Slip contains essential information, including the candidate's photograph, national ranking, and several security features required for post-UTME screening and admission processes in tertiary institutions across the country.

"The 2026 UTME Original Result Slip will be available for printing within the next two hours today, Wednesday, June 17, 2026," the statement said.

The board explained that candidates can conveniently print the document from any internet-enabled device, whether at home, in the office, or through accredited business centres.

JAMB advised candidates to carefully verify all details on the printed slip and keep copies for future admission-related purposes.

The main 2026 UTME was conducted in April, while a mop-up examination took place on June 13 for candidates affected by technical issues and biometric verification challenges during the main exercise. Results of the mop-up examination were released on June 16.

The board noted that the release of the Original Result Slips had been delayed to allow for the completion of foreign-based examinations and the mop-up exercise. On May 19, JAMB appealed to candidates for patience as it finalized the necessary processes.

With the release of the printable result slips, candidates can now proceed with applications and admission screenings for the 2026/2027 academic session. Several tertiary institutions have already commenced, or are preparing to commence, their post-UTME registration exercises.
