The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced the release of the results of the 2026 mop-up Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

The announcement was made on Tuesday by JAMB’s spokesperson, Fabian Benjamin, in an official statement.

The 2026 UTME was conducted across approximately 966 Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres nationwide between April 16 and April 23. However, technical issues at some centres prevented a number of candidates from taking the examination as scheduled.

To accommodate affected candidates and others who were unable to sit for the examination, JAMB organised a mop-up exercise on June 13.

According to the board, candidates who participated in the mop-up examination can now access their results through its approved result-checking platforms. JAMB also disclosed that result slips for admission purposes will be available for printing before the end of the week.

“Candidates who participated in the examination can check their results through the Board’s established result-checking channels,” the statement said.

The board added that with the successful completion of the mop-up exercise and the release of the results, it will begin the process of ranking candidates ahead of admissions.

“Following the successful conclusion of the mop-up exercise and the release of the results, the Board will commence the ranking of candidates. Thereafter, the printing of results for admission purposes is expected to begin before the weekend,” the statement added.

JAMB also expressed appreciation to candidates and stakeholders for their patience, cooperation, and understanding throughout the conduct of the 2026 UTME and the subsequent mop-up examination.

The board had earlier stated that the mop-up exercise would be the final opportunity for candidates to sit the 2026 UTME, stressing that no additional examination would be conducted afterward.
