The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced that its 2026 admission policy meeting will be held on Monday, May 11, where stakeholders will determine the minimum cut-off marks for the 2026/2027 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), alongside other key admission guidelines.

According to JAMB spokesperson Fabian Benjamin, the meeting will take place at the Body of Benchers Auditorium in Jabi, Abuja.

The Minister of Education, Maruf Alausa, is expected to formally present policy directives for the upcoming admission cycle.

The annual gathering brings together key stakeholders in Nigeria’s tertiary education sector, including vice-chancellors, rectors, provosts, registrars, and admissions officers from universities, polytechnics, and colleges of education.

Also expected in attendance are representatives of major regulatory bodies such as the National Universities Commission (NUC), National Commission for Colleges of Education (NCCE), and National Board for Technical Education (NBTE).

In addition, agencies including the Nigerian Education Loan Fund and the National Youth Service Corps are expected to deliver goodwill messages.

The event will also feature the 6th National Tertiary Admissions Performance-Merit Awards, which recognises institutions that comply with admission regulations and uphold best practices in the admissions process.
