The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced that candidates registered for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) can now print their examination slips.
In a statement issued on Thursday, the board urged candidates to visit its official website to access and print their slips ahead of the examination. According to JAMB, the examination slip contains essential details, including the candidate’s examination date, time, and venue, and serves as a mandatory document for entry into the examination hall.
Candidates are required to log on to the JAMB portal at jamb.gov.ng and select the “2026 Slip Printing” option to obtain their slips.
The announcement follows the board’s dismissal of a widely circulated press release that falsely claimed the 2026 UTME had been postponed. JAMB described the notice as “malicious and fake,” advising candidates and the general public to disregard the misinformation.
The 2026 UTME is scheduled to take place from Thursday, April 16, to Saturday, April 25, 2026.
The examination comes on the heels of a mock test conducted on March 28, which experienced technical challenges at some Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres. Out of the 224,597 candidates who registered for the mock examination, 152,586 successfully participated across 989 centres nationwide. The board disclosed that more than 20 centres were subsequently delisted due to technical inadequacies.
JAMB also cautioned candidates against engaging with fraudsters, particularly on WhatsApp, who claim to facilitate score manipulation. The board described such activities as “false and criminal,” warning that any candidate found culpable risks having their registration cancelled or their results withheld.
