Nigeria-Monday 5, April 2021: The Deputy Speaker of Oyo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon Abiodun Fadeyi Mohammed, has urged Christians to take into consideration the welfare of others as exemplified by Jesus Christ in His ultimate sacrifice to save mankind.

Hon. Fadeyi made this remarks in his Easter message to Christians and Oyo State residents, which was signed by Adeniji Samuel Adeleye, Special Assistant on Media to the Deputy Speaker, and made available to CEOAFRICA on Monday.

In his message, the Deputy Speaker stated that Easter is a period of fresh beginning, forgiveness, love and friendship.

He added that “Easter exemplifies the ultimate sacrifice made by Jesus Christ to save mankind. Due to this, every individual, Christians must take into consideration the welfare of others.

“The sacrifice of Jesus Christ, through the sadness and pain of the Crucifixion, also embodied victory over darkness, as evidenced in the Resurrection.”

The House leader urged the privilege to reach out to the less privileged as “everyone works to deepen the culture of true Christianity.”

He also implored Christians to uphold peace and harmony, and to always embrace others as part of the great family God has created.
