From Dakar, the capital of Senegal, CEOAFRICA.com gathered that President Macky Sall has sacked the country’s Prime Minister Abdou Mbaye, whom he appointed last year.

Sources said the former banker, who belongs to no political party, has been replaced by Justice Minister Aminata Toure.

In her acceptance speech, Aminata Toure said,”The President have asked me to form and lead a new government. I have accepted the job.”

No reason was given for the sacking of the prime-minister.

Senegal is a West African country that has never witnessed military coup before.
