N200 BILLION CONTRIBUTES TO NIGERIA ECONOMY YEARLY BY FAST FOOD INDUSTRY.

The Country's Association of Fast Food and Confectioners of Nigeria(AFCON) has made it know that about N200 billion is contributing annually in to the growth of the country economy.

 

     While over N1 billion also paid as taxes and levies paid to the various tiers and agencies of the government by the AFCON members across the country.

 

      The Association President, Mrs. Bose Ayeni speak on the role of the fast food industry in the economy of Nigeria,over 500,000 people were engaged in to various departments of the industry across the country.

 

    She said that unsteady power supply in the country is the primary challenge their business is facing, and it is killing the viability of their business on daily basis, the business owners used 30 percent of their profit to service generator for power supply.

 

     Adding that, multiplicity of taxes and levies of the government agencies

Is a big problem to the business, overlapping functions and poor coordinations between the regulatory agencies.

 

     However, She plead for the Proper coordination among the government agencies to enable the industry to thrive better for economy growth and development of the country.
