The Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria (PSN) under the leadership of its president, Prof. Cyril Usifoh, has secured the implementation of the approved scheme of service for pharmacist consultant cadre in the federal civil and public service in Nigeria.
This was made know in a letter, tagged “Implementation of the Approved Scheme of Service for Pharmacist Consultant Cadre in the Federal Civil and Public Service” from the office of the federal ministry of health and social welfare to the PSN president.
Recall that the National Council on Establishment (NCE) in a memo signed by Dr Folasade Yemi-Esan, Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, after its 41st meeting held from Monday 4th-Friday 8 November, 2019 in Asaba, Delta approved the pharmacist consultant cadre for inclusion in the schemes of service.
The cadre is structured on SGL 15-17 as follows:
1: PHARMACIST CONSULTANT-----------------------------------------------------------SGL 15
2: Pharmacist Consultant Special GD ll ------------------------------------------------SGL16
3: Pharmacist Consultant Special GD l--------------------------------------------------SGL16
The scheme of service for the cadre will be reflected in the next edition of the scheme of service
The approval which was to take immediate effect has been pending for implementation since 2019, was on 14th September, 2023, implemented.
