AAU Ibadan Branch Inaugurates New EXCOs

It was all joy galore as the alumni of Ambrose Alli University, Ibadan branch gathered together for the inauguration of it new executive members and the hosting the alumni worldwide president. The event which took place today (May 14th, 2023), at Knowledge Hub Center, UCH, Ibadan, was a cynosure of all eyes.
In his remark, the President General of the Alumni worldwide, Barr. Clifford Omozeghian expressed his joy for the event, describing it as home coming.  He revealed Ibadan branch played a major role in his emergence as the worldwide president of the alumni of the AAU in a well contested poll. "So I have come to say thank you for the support for my emergence."
The worldwide president implored members to continue to uphold the principles of the founding father, Prof. Ambrose Alli which is premised on equity and intellectual doggedness. "That is what we must all continue to do globally  to ensure the equality of all members so that everyone can have a sense of belonging." Barr. Omozeghian expressed.
While assuring the alumni of global collaboration, the worldwide president thanked members for their commitment and determination to make the school proud even after graduation. He called out to alumni who are residence in Ibadan to proudly identify with the alumni of Ibadan branch to grow the chapter.
The high point of the occasion was the inauguration of the new executive members of the alumni. Barr. Omozeghian urged the new executives to be faithful and loyal to the AAU alumni, Ibadan branch, as they took the oath of office. The new executives include: Chairman - Bamidele Corwell Salweon: Vice chairman - Dr. Joy O. Evbomemen; Secretery -Mr. Micheal Imasogie; Ass. Sec. - Miss Elizabeth Edokhim; Legal Adviser Barr. Alright Eigbe; Treasurer - Barr. Annabel T. Bozimo; Finc. Sec.- Dr. Beatrice Nduka; Editor In Chief - Dr. Kelvin I. Egbuchulem; social / welfare - Mrs Blessing  Efe-Jiro; Semede, and the PRO - Mr. Anthony Eghe Agbongiarhuoyi.
To add color to the august event, there was a robust health talk by Dr Kelvin Egbuchulem to educate members on the imperative need to take healthcare matters seriously and do the needful always. Dr Kelvin further taught on paediatric communicable diseases and urged parents to take adequate precautions for their wards; ensuring balance diet for healthy living. He also laid emphasis on safety measures for children who he said are endangered and vulnerable to so many dangers both at home and outside.
In his closing remark, the new chairman of the alumni Ibadan branch, Barr. Bamidele Salewon thanked the members for counting him worthy to lead the alumni. He assured never to do less but to give all that is required to get the best.
Ambrose Alli University is located in Edo State of Nigeria. The university is reputed for it's strives for academic excellence in research and teaching. It is guided in these endeavours by the very highest international standards.
