In the quest to further intellectual knowledge to strengthen and elevate our democratic process and principles and governance, the Grace Uzoma Okonkwo Foundation in conjunction with Department of English, Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University is organising its 4th International Hybrid Conference at Igbariam campus, Anambra State. The 4 Day scientific conference tagged: Democracy and the Rule of Law in the 21st Century Africa: A Multidisciplinary Reflection is scheduled to take place on 2nd – 5th, May 2023.
Democratic government as an institution is a veritable means of governance that guarantees the civil liberty of the citizen. Hence, adequate governing of the people must not be taken for granted, as it goes a long way to determine the stability of government and the society. The nucleus of the conference therefore is premised on voter education, rule of law, roles of the judiciary, mass communicating democracy, gender democracy, etc.
For the robust scientific conference which gives open invitation to scholars and the public alike has Chief Nnia Nwodo, President General of Ohaneze worldwide as the chairman of the event. Prof. Aloysius Micheals Okolie, Vice Chancellor, Enugu State University of Science and Technologies as the keynote speaker. The Lead Paper Presenters are Prof. Gaji Fatima Dantata of the Faculty of Education, Bayero University, Kano; Prof. Steve Egbo, Executive Director, Administration and Training, NTA; and Barr. Mrs. Nwanneka Okolo, Founder/ Executive Director, Lift Saxum Ltd. Other principal guests for the conference include: Emeritus Prof. El Anatsui as the special guest of honour; while HRH, Igwe G. F. O. Asadu and HRH, Igwe Barr. R. S. N Eze are the Royal Fathers of the day.
To be part of this scientific conference, participants are expected to send abstract of not more than 250 words.
The organisers of the summit have promised to make it worthwhile foe everyone that attend as everything is been put in place for the event.
