The Association of Nigerian Universities Professional Administrators (ANUPA) is set to hold its 2023 Senior Administrators Training in FCT, Abuja.
The President of ANUPA, Dr Victor Mkuma Bem made it known to CEOAFRICA that all is now set for the association’s training workshop for senior university professional administrators scheduled to hold between Wednesday, 10th May and Saturday, 13th May , 2023.
The event which is billed to take place at the Public Service Institute of Nigeria (PSIN), Abuja, is expected to host Senior University Professional Administrators and dignitaries across the country.
The theme of the training workshop is tagged, “Re-Engineering Administrative Process in the Present University Environment”. According to the association' President, the training workshop is “expected to boost the administrative capacity of university professional administrators for excellent performance.”
The National President stressed that apart from training and retraining of professional university administrators, the upcoming training workshop will be unique because it is aimed at equipping participants with the ingredients required to take them to higher levels especially in digitization of University activities/administration and global best practices.
He further assured that the training team of ANUPA has made necessary arrangements to ensure that participants attending the workshop maximally benefit in all the sessions of the conference in order to take home current techiques and skills required to boost their administrative capacities for improved performances in their universities.
Some of the Resource Persons billed for the event are Prof. Azeke Marshall, DVC (Academic), Ambrose Ali University, Ekpoma, Edo State, who will be speaking on the topic “Digitization and Digitalization of University Administration in a Post Covid Era: The Role of Professional Administrators".
Mr Sam Mwansat, a former National President of ANUPA- will be speaking on: “Creating a Service Culture: The Role of University Professional Administrators as Customer Service Representative” while Dr. J.E.T., Babatola, JP. Registrar, Ajayi Crowther University, Oyo State will speaking on the topic: “Reinventing the University Administrators’ Strategy Roles through Corporate Governance and Digital Skills in the New Normal”. Deploying Dynamism, Change and Innovations into Job Performance as University Professional Administrators” will be discussed by the Registrar, Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto, Mallam Nurudeen Abubakar Bello, while Dr. Victor Mkuma Bem, a Director in the Registry Department of Joseph Sarwuan Tarka University, Markudi will speak on “Collaborating for Excellence: The University Registry as a Catalyst for Change and Innovation”.
The Association is enjoining participants to be prepared for all Covid-19 Protocols to be duly observed at the training workshop. To register for the training workshop, participants are required to pay registration fee of Forty Thousand Naira for physical participation and Twenty Thousand Naira for Virtual Participation.
