Cross River Catholic priest, church members abducted in Nasarawa

The Chaplain of RCM Parish in the Alok Catholic Diocese of Ogoja in Cross River State, Reverend Father, Peter Ochang, has been kidnapped in Nasarawa State.
Father Ochand and several members of St. Jude Society, were travelling on Thursday to Abuja for important church events when they were waylaid and taken into the bush.
The Administrator of St Benedict’s Cathedral, Igoli Ogoja, Rev. Fr. Dr Fidelis Kajibia, announced the abduction during Morning Mass on Friday.
Father Kajibia said it is not yet certain how many members of St Jude Society were traveling with him.
The Chairman of Diocesan Education Board, Catholic Diocese of Ogoja, Peter Nandi Bette, also confirmed the abduction on his Facebook page, early Friday morning.
Police authorities from both States are yet to make any statement towards the abduction.
