Gombe gov. reshuffles cabinet, urges appointees to be committed, transparent

The Gombe State Governor, Inuwa Yahaya, on Monday reshuffled his cabinet.
It was reported that Yahaya appointed two commissioner and four special advisers.
The Governor during the oath taking ceremony said the minor reshuffle was carried out as part of efforts to maintain his administration’s set objectives and good governance.
He said; “Accordingly, the following changes are hereby made as regarding special advisers with immediate effect: Dauda Batari is moved from the Ministry of Education to the Ministry of Higher Education.’’
“Mr Shehu Madugu from the Ministry of Energy and Solid Minerals to the Ministry of Environment and Forestry.’’
“Aishatu Maigari moved from the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation to the Ministry of Education while Meshak Lauco will now serve in the Ministry of Higher Education from the Ministry of Information and Culture.”
Yahaya said the new commissioners, Mr Sanusi Pindiga and Mr Andirya Moljengo, will be in charge of the Ministry of Energy and Solid Minerals and the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation.
The Governor urged the newly sworn-in appointees to sustain the tempo of his administration’s achievements with sincerity of purpose, transparency, accountability, loyalty and commitment.
He said; “We will not tolerate ineptitude and corrupt practices.
“This administration will not condone any act of indiscipline and corruption in whatever form.”
