Ekiti State House of Assembly Speaker, Funminiyi Afuye, is dead.
The Ikere constituency 1 representative passed away on Wednesday.
Afuye, 66, was rushed to the hospital in the early hours of Wednesday and died at the Ekiti State Teaching Hospital in Ado-Ekiti, the capital.
On Tuesday, the lawmaker attended the Thanksgiving Service for Governor Biodun Oyebanji, who just assumed office.
