In the diary of every pharmacist in Nigeria today, the clock is ticking; not for pressure of meeting up with any deadline, but for the excitement of counting down, as the men of the drugs have just one month to converge again for the 95th Annual National Conference.
The conference tagged “Medicine Security in an Unstable Economy” which will start on October 31 and end on November 5, 2022, will be held at Chrispan Suites and Events Centre, Rayfield in Jos, Plateau state.
Speaking with CEOAFRICA on Friday, September 30, 2022, the National President of PSN, Prof. Cyril Usifo, said the coordination committee for the conference has almost rounded off preparations and all arrangements have been made to have a hitch-free conference.
Usifo said: “As today is the last day of September, it remains just 31 days or one month to our national conference. We have almost finalised all the necessary preparations and every arrangement has been made. All our invited guests have been re-contacted and they have given the full assurance of coming.”
Tagged “Tin City 2022”, the conference will be full of thought-provoking and highly educative lectures, which will span through different fields of Pharmacy.
Prof. Usifo further emphasised that the conference will also foster networking opportunity by allowing pharmacists to get to meet peers and front-liners in their chosen career and other things that interests them.
Recall that CEOAFRICA had earlier reported that Governor Simon Lalong said that Plateau state would be eager to host the pharmacists who he said have been helpful to the health and socio-economic development of the state.
He stated this earlier, while receiving the National President, PSN at the new Government House in Jos.
Lalong, who accepted to be part of the conference, assured pharmacists that the state’s government will give all necessary support to ensure a successful National Conference, in line with state’s history of hospitality and accommodation.
Speaking further, he stated that the choice of Jos as the host city for PSN National Conference is another testimony and dividend of the peace efforts that the Rescue Administration has put in place over the past seven years.
