The Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) has said that the National grid collapsed on Monday.
AEDC disclosed this on Monday through a statement on its Twitter page.
The Electricity company said the power outages in some parts of FCT is due to the collapse of the grid.
It read; ”Dear Esteemed Customer, Please be informed that the current power outage is due to a system failure from the National Grid.’’
”The system collapsed at about 10:55am today, 26th September 2022, causing the outage currently being experienced.’’
The AEDC further urged the residents to be patient with the company, as the situation is being handled and power will be restored soon.
”We appeal for your understanding as all stakeholders are working hard to restore normal supply.”
