The Pro-Chancellor and Chairman, Governing Council of the University of Ilorin (Unilorin), Yazid Rafindadi is dead.
It was reported that he died in the early hours of Thursday in Abuja.
Recall that barely two weeks ago, Yazid announced during a Press Conference in Ilorin the appointment of a new Vice-Chancellor, Professor Wahab Egbewole.
Prof. Egbewole took over from the outgoing VC, Professor Abdulkareem Age, whose tenure expired on October 15, 2022.
An official in the University said; “The University is still awaiting official reaction from the University’s Registrar who is also the Secretary to the Council.”
