The  former Senate President, Adolphus Wabara, has been appointed the acting Chairman, Board of Trustees (BoT) of the Peoples Democratic Party, following the resignation of Walid Jibrin.

Wabara was also appointed as the Political Adviser to the National Chairman of the party, Dr. Iyorchia Ayu.

Wabara, who was previously the Secretary of the BoT, will be appointed to the Presidential campaign council of the PDP.
