Napoli boss Luciano Spaletti has confirmed that while Victor Osimhen is a doubt for today’s game against Liverpool, he is available for selection and a decision will be made before kick-off.

The Nigeria international trained separately from the rest of the team on Monday morning due to a muscle issue and after a test on Tuesday, reports in Italy reveal there is a 50-50 chance the striker will take to the pitch tonight.

Osimhen has partially trained with the rest of the team over the last couple of days and remains in doubt for the game due to a muscle issue, while Hirving Lozano is ready to play.

The Napoli Director Cristiano Giuntoli explained that Osimhen wants to play, but Napoli’s medical staff do not want to risk a more severe injury, as he has a little issue with his abductor, but no tears.

Giuntoli, Osimhen and the medical staff must decide what to do against Liverpool.

Recall that the team’s manager, Luciano Spalletti, while responding to interviews, stated that FIFA under 17 Golden Boot winner may still be able to play, if his condition gets better than what has been observed on Tuesday.

The 23-year-old has so far scored two goals and provided one assist for Napoli so far this season.
