A Federal High Court sitting in Ado-Ekiti has adjourned a suit seeking to challenge the alleged unlawful nominations of candidates into state constituency seats by the leadership of All Progressives Congress(APC) in Ekiti State

Some APC aspirants had approached the court after the primary to challenge the nominations of some candidates into the Assembly.

Ayodeji Adarabierin Ado Constituency 1 and Nike Ajisafe Popoola Ado Constituency 1 are among the aspirants challenging the nomination of former aide of the governor, Ayo Adegite.

Another aspirant, Mr Jide Akintola is challenging the nomination of Mrs Bolaji Olagbaju Egbeyemi into the House of Assembly Ado Constituency 2

The said primary election which was supposed to hold on May 26 2022 did not hold in both constituencies as a result of a protest over the alleged falsification of the delegate list, different from the approved and authentic lists from the party’s National Headquarters Abuja.

Justice Bab Kuewumi adjourned the matter to 27th Sep 2022 while that of Ajisafe and Akintola adjourned to 10th of October 2022
