Former Senate Deputy President, Senator Ike Ekweremadu has defected to the Labour Party (LP).

Former Anambra Governor and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential aspirant, Peter Obi earlier announced his defection from the PDP to the Labour Party.
