385 new COVID-19 cases, two deaths reported across 11 states, FCT

Tuesday 14th December 2021: According to figures released on Tuesday by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, eleven states and the Federal Capital Territory reported 385 new cases and two additional COVID-19 related deaths. 
The NCDC disclosed this on its official website on Tuesday.
FCT recorded the highest number of new infections with 116 cases followed by Delta – 115, Akwa Ibom – 41, Ogun – 33, Cross River – 23, Edo – 23, Kaduna – 10, Rivers – 7, Plateau – 5, Bayelsa – 5, Oyo – 5, and Kano – 2.
NCDC said the 385 new cases of COVID-19 infections have brought the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the country to 217,866. 
However, 210,076 COVID-19 patients have recovered and have been discharged in the country, while  two additional COVID-19 related deaths reported, the death toll from the virus stands at 2,983, NCDC said.
The health agency added that a multi-sectoral National Emergency Operations Centre, activated at Level 2, had continued to coordinate the national response activities.
