Chrisland University set to hold 3rd Convocation Ceremony

WEDNESDAY- 1st December, 2021: The management, staff and students of Chrisland University, Ogun will on the 8th of December hold its 3rd Convocation Ceremony for year 2021 graduating students of the institution.

The 3 day ceremony which will hold at the University’s Auditorium will run between 7th to 9th and will also have a convocation lecture to be delivered by Mr Aigboje AIG- Imoukhuede,CON., the Chairman Coronation Capital and Founder of AIG-Imukhuede Foundation.

A statement from the institute which was made available to CEOAFRICA stated that the lecture themed: “Making Education fit for purpose: The Trinity of knowledge Acquisition, Industry Collaboration and Government Policies” will be delivered on the 8th December 2021.

The Convocation ceremony will also feature Awards of First Degrees and presentation of prices as well as recognition awards.

The 3-day event will kick off on the 7th with a celebration of life of a Nigerian Amazon Late Pastor Mrs AIG- Imokhuede who was a member of the board of trustee of the University will also feature cutting of the tape of the female hostel named after her in memory of her contributions to the institution immediately after the convocation lecture on the 8th.

Chrisland University, Ogun State was established in 2015, and the University was granted full operational license to operate as a private university in Nigeria, in year 2019 by the Federal Republic of Nigeria’s National Universities Commission.

The University began operation with two Colleges- College of Arts, Management, and Social Sciences, and College of Natural and Applied Sciences. The College of Basic Medical Sciences became the third college in 2019, while College of Law is upcoming.

The Vice-Chancellor of the Institution, Prof. Mrs. Chinedum Peace Babalola, FAS, Spearheaded the full accreditation of nine (9) programmes (Business Administration, Economics, Accounting, Criminology & Security Studies, Psychology, Computer Science, Political Science, Microbiology and Biochemistry) presented for the 2018 NUC Accreditation. Three programmes (Mass Communication, Banking and Finance, and International Relations) which were presented for NUC accreditation in 2021 got full accreditation also in 2021.
