Ed Sheeran cancels all in-person shows as he contracts COVID-19

MONDAY, 25th October, 2021: British singer, Ed Sheeran has announced that he is cancelling all in-person shows following his positive test to the COVID-19 virus.
The singer who announced the sad news via his verified Instagram page on Sunday, added that he's currently self-isolating and following government guidelines.
According to him, all his planned shows and interviews would be conducted from his home, as all in-person commitments have been cancelled.
He wrote, "Hey guys. A quick note to tell you that I’ve sadly tested positive for Covid. So I’m now self-isolating and following government guidelines.
“It means that I’m now unable to plough ahead with any in-person commitments for now, so I’ll be doing as many of my planned interviews/performances as I can from my house.
“Apologies to anyone I’ve let down. Be safe everyone.”
This comes one week after the singer alongside Nigerian songstress, Yemi Alade, performed at the first-ever ‘Earthshot’ prize awards at the Alexandra Palace.
The event, which was televised on October 17, 2021, was organized by the Royal Foundation, spearheaded by Prince William, to recognise inventive solutions to the environmental problems facing the planet.
