Saturday 23 October 2021: -The Chinese government has written to the President Muhammadu Buhari seeking to promote a strategic partnership with Nigeria and boost a better relationship.

Chinese President Xi Jinping disclosed this in a letter, stating that his country will use the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations with Nigeria.

The Special Adviser, Media and Publicity to the President, Femi Adesina revealed this in a statement on Friday.

The statement partly read, “Nigeria is an important strategic partner of China in Africa. China-Nigeria cooperation has been the pacesetter of China-Africa cooperation.’’
