The Association of Nigerian University Professional Administrators (ANUPA) Conference

ANUPA set to hold a 4-day Annual General Meeting in Abuja

FRIDAY, 22nd October, 2021: The Association of Nigerian University Professional Administrators (ANUPA) will be holding its 2021 national conference and annual general meeting for all university professional administrators.
This 4-days event is scheduled to hold from Tuesday, 23rd of November till the Saturday, 27th of November at the Public Service Institute (PSIN), in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory.
CEOAFRICA the official media partner gathered that the Executive Secretary of National Universities Commission, Prof. Abubakar Adamu Rasheed Mni MFR, will be speaking on the theme of the event, “Crisis, Collaboration and the Future of Higher Education” as a keynote speaker to discuss various issues related to education in tertiary institutions in Nigeria.
The conference will have in attendance, The Honourable Minister of State Education, Hon. (Barr.) Chukwuemaka Nwajiuba as the Chief Guest of Honour.
Other dignitaries like the National Chairman, Association of Registrars of Nigerian Universities (ARNU), Dr. Abubakar Mamuda will also be at the event as a guest of honour.
Some of the scheduled topics to be discussed at the conference includes The Future of Higher Education in Nigeria: The Place of Professional Administrators in Crisis Management, which will be facilitated by the former Registrar of Obafemi Awolowo University, Mr. Ayo Ogunruku; Insights into the Fiscal Responsibility Act and Financial Discipline (Prudent Resource Management) in the University, which will be facilitated by the head, Directorate of Internal Audit, Ekiti State University, Dr. (Sir) Williams O. Adebayo, fcna; Collaborating for Excellence: The University Registry as a Catalyst for Change and Innovation, which will be facilitated by Director of Council Affairs, Rivers State University, Port Harcourt, Mrs. Ibiominia Harry.
Other topics of discussion at the conference includes Crisis of Leadership Succession: Challenges of Excellence in Nigerian Universities, which will be facilitated by Registrar, Federal University, Dutse, Jigawa State, M. Bukar Usman, FCIA; and Leading through Uncertainties: The Nigerian Higher Education and the Challenge of Excellence, which will be facilitated by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, National Open University, Abuja, Prof. Joy Eyisi.
A chat with the National President of ANUPA, Barr. Titus Igwe who also doubles as the host of the conference revealed that the association has a membership of about 8000 members.
Barr. Igwe added that the conference which is open to nominees from all Nigerian Universities is expected to have about 800 people physically in attendance, while others are expected to join virtually via Zoom teleconferencing app.
The association also informed all participants to observe all laid down COVID-19 prevention protocols to curtail the spread of the deadly virus.
