Tuesday 28,September 2021:Super Eagles star and winger Samuel Chukwueze is set to return for Spanish side Villareal fc as they face English giants Manchester Utd.in a group F clash tomorrow wednesday 29 September after months away on the sidelines due to injury.

Chukwueze who has been out of action since May 6 when he was injured playing away against Arsenal in the Europa League Semi final match at the Emirates,a game that ended 0-0,with the Spanish side eventually progressing 2-1 on aggregates.

The attacker eventually missed the final against Manchester United, and the Super Cup loss to Champions League winners Chelsea. The 22-year-old has now missed the clubs six La Liga matches and the Group F Champions League opening match against Atalanta that ended 2-2

However the Nigerian was seen in a video posted today by the clubs official handle training with teammates ahead of Wednesdays encounter. The clubs medical department has not commented on whether Chukwueze is fit enough to be involved against the Red Devils.

Unai Emerys ‘yellow submarines’ will be away at Old Trafford with the hopes of inflicting more pain on their opponent who suffered a 2-1 away loss to Young Boys in their first Champions league match this season.
It will be a rematch of the Europa League Final last season where Villareal won 11-10 on penalties after a 1-1 draw in regulation time.In that particular fixture Gerard Moreno had scored for the Spanish side before Red devils Edison Cavani equalised before regulation time

The Red Devils will be hoping to improve on their attacking play as they have so far failed to find the net in their last two games in all competitions and have only managed four wins, two draws and a loss in European competitions last campaign at home in Old trafford.

Villareal however remain undefeated in seven Europa League matches away but haven’t won any away match in all competitions this season managing just four draws and two losses.

Another group F match will see Atalanta football club of Italy taking on Young boys of Switzerland
