Chrisland University orgainses 2-week specialized entrepreneurship training for final year students

Tuesday- 10th August, 2021: In a bid towards making their graduates exceptional, Chrisland University Abeokuta, has kicked off a 2-week intensive and specialized entrepreneurship training for final year students of the great citadel of learning.

The 2-week training will today (Tuesday, August 10, 2021) be declared open by the multiple awards winning Vice Chancellor of the institution, Professor Chinedum Peace Babalola.

The training is in line with the vision and mission of the university, which is 'to become a world –class university renowned for intellectual freedom, ethical standards, research, community service and the outstanding training of a new generation of leaders'.

The training which will run from 10th August to 19th August 2021 will be conducted by experience industry practioners and in-house experts while the Director Centre for Entrepreneurship Development Studies (CEDS), Dr Babatunde Agbi will coordinate the program.

In a statement made available to CEOAFRICA , the Director (CEDS) of the University, Dr Agbi, said the program is in fulfillment of the philosophy of the Vice Chancellor that Chrisland University  students must graduate with at least two certificates.

Since assumption of duty, the VC, Prof Babalola, made it mandatory that the students of the university must pass through some training before graduating and the trainings must be useful for them after graduating from school.

The students have since their second year in the university, been exposed to various entrepreneurship skills starting that this 2-week specialized training is focused on ensuring that Chrisland University graduates will be job creators instead of job seekers.

They will be issued certificate after a successful completion of a bankable business plan of a start-up business they can actualize after graduation.
