Bandits attack Nasarawa Ministry of Finance, haul away millions

Friday- 30th July, 2021: Bandits hauled away millions of naira from the Nasarawa State Ministry of Finance, budget and planning on Thursday.
The bandits were said to have shot sporadically in the air and then seized the money at gun point after trailing two of the staff from the bank to the Ministry located in Lafia.
Haruna Ogbole, the State Commissioner of Finance said the money was worth millions, but he did not disclose the precise amount.
The commissioner added that the incident is under investigation.
On the other hand, the cashier who sustained bullet injuries is undergoing treatment.
