PDP National Project Assessment Team Applauds Gov. Dickson

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) National Project Assessment Team, on Saturday in Yenagoa commended Bayelsa Government for the various completed and ongoing development projects in the state.

The team leader, Chief Olisa Metuh, National Publicity Secretary of the party, explained that the leadership of the party embarked on the projects’ evaluation, in order to showcase PDP’s achievements in the past 15 years.

Metuh who spoke in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), said the team had earlier visited Jigawa and Akwa Ibom states.

Metu said that the Seriake Dickson-led PDP administration in Bayelss had fast- tracked development in the state

“We have gone round Bayelsa, we have visited a lot of projects, we are still continuing, and we have seen the state medical diagnostic centre.

“We have seen first class state-of-the-art MIR (Magnetic Imaging Resonance), arguably one of the best in the country.

“We have seen the CT scan and all the equipment provided by the state government.

“They are to ensure that not only Bayelsans but also Nigerians in this zone stop frequent trips abroad for medical treatment because all they are looking for abroad can be done in Nigeria.

“We are happy with what we have seen in the state medical centre, the hospital there.

“We have seen the Oxbow-Isaac Boro Expressway,very good road, and we have also seen the state university.

“We have been to the state airport under construction, we have seen the youth development centre.

“We have also visited the site for the federal secretariat under construction; we have seen the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) building nearing completion.

“What we have witnessed is that, Bayelsa is being transformed from a one-lane, one-street state capital to a complete state capital,” he said.

Metuh described the Dickson-led government as being in a hurry to develop, adding that the team was impressed with the administration’s achievements in the provision of infrastructure.
